On Wednesday (28.11.2013), we were able to meet Mrs Grażyna Bogusz. She had been the headmistress of our school for 10 years (1999-2009) and that’s the longest period in the history of school. It was her idea to introduce IB Diploma Programme in Topolowka.
Mrs Bogusz told us about the martial law in Poland and the times of communism. Thanks to her, we were able to hear various stories about students, teachers, her family and her own experience from these days.
The students of III LO were very much engaged in school life and opposition activities during these hard times for the Polish youth. They always showed support for those who were touched by injustice. During the meeting, we had an opportunity to see many photos, newspapers and documents that cannot be seen daily.
It was a great lesson of real history for all of us.
