On 25th March, the Contemporary Art Centre Łaźnia in the revitalised Dolne Miasto district was home to the opening of the exhibition of the Visual Arts’ students’ works. To complete their Visual Arts subject, IB students must prepare an exhibition of their works that have been developed since their start in the Programme. This year, Natalia Piotrowska, Natasza Biernacka, Joanna Szewciów and Oskar Kaźmierczak had an opportunity to present their final works where numerous guests took part in the opening of the three-day exhibition. Each student chose their own theme and medium for the presentation of their vision. Guests could appreciate paintings, photographs, graphics, sculptures and artistic installations. Joanna was inspired by the childhood, Oskar’s theme was the city, Natasza’s works were focused around the theme of flowers and Natalia reflected on the element of water. Each work was clear evidence of the students’ commitment, vivid imagination and talent.
Congratulations to the Visual Arts’ teacher Ms Dominika Szelągowska for the preparation and help offered to the students! We want to thank everyone involved in the event for making it a reality. We also want to congratulate our students for such an amazing achievement and we wish you more successes in the future!
